Located in the heart of Galway city centre and the closest hotel to Galway University NUIG, the Imperial Hotel has an impressive location. Enjoying a close locality to the bus and railway station, there is also a taxi rank just outside the hotel. The building exudes a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Plenty of seating allows you to relax wherever you are. The residents lounge is an informal cosy retreat open until late, and the outdoor patio is perfect for those lazy sunny days. All of the rooms at the Imperial Hotel are spacious and bright, with modern cherry wood furniture and contemporary decor. Please note that the Imperial is taking bookings from 1 May onwards and that scaffolding is up until mid-May.

The bar grill has a traditional, yet comfortable atmosphere where Irish hospitality is paramount. Walnut panelling compliments sage stonework, whilst muted green and tawny brown seating and sunny orange carpets radiate warmth. The bar is locally known as ‘the meeting place of Galway’ and many settle to watch live sports or meet friends for a coffee and snack. The bar grill offers light snacks like home-made soup and salad, plus all-day breakfasts, sandwiches, steaks and fish dishes. Yummy sweet bites such as muffins and scones are also available. The carvery is available 7 days a week, serving succulent hot meals. Morning menu is available from 10:00 to 12:00. Bar food menu is available from 12:00 to 20:00. Carvery lunch is available from 12:00 to 16:00.
